Our Sri Lanka Solo packages are built for Indian travellers who want a solo trip to feel easy, safe and genuinely fun. Sri Lanka is just 1 to 2 hours by air from South India, and the island is compact enough that hill country railways, ancient kingdoms and golden beaches all fit into one trip. Prices start from just ₹18,999 per person.
Travelling alone abroad raises real questions. Is it safe after dark? What if I want company some days and quiet on others? Our Solo itineraries answer this with vetted stays, drivers we know personally, and a mix of social and private experiences, so you get the freedom of going alone without the logistics landing on your shoulders.
What makes our Sri Lanka Solo packages special
Solo travel is not a normal tour with one seat instead of two. We design these trips so a single traveller is comfortable, secure and never overcharged for going alone.
- Solo-safe stays: Guesthouses and hotels in central, well-lit areas with 24-hour reception, female-friendly reviews and easy transport access.
- Known drivers, not strangers: Private transfers use vetted drivers we work with regularly, so a woman or first-time solo traveller is never handed to an unknown vehicle.
- Built-in chances to socialise: Optional small-group experiences like a Kandy walking tour, an Ella hike or a Galle Fort food walk, for when you want company.
- Quiet time when you need it: Plenty of unscheduled hours to read on a Nuwara Eliya verandah or simply do nothing.
- One contact on WhatsApp: A single Many2Go coordinator handles everything from visa queries to a late train.
- Fair solo pricing: We quote single occupancy supplements upfront instead of burying them.
Sample Solo Sri Lanka itineraries
Three starting points by budget and how much ground you cover. Prices are per person and tailored to your dates.
| Package | Nights | From (per person) | Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo Starter: Kandy & Nuwara Eliya | 4 | ₹18,999 | 3-star, shared transfers |
| Classic Solo Loop: Sigiriya, Ella & Galle | 6 | ₹32,999 | 3 to 4-star, private and shared |
| Solo Explorer: Hills, Yala & Beach | 8 | ₹49,999 | Boutique, private driver |
The Starter keeps costs low with shared transfers and central guesthouses, ideal for a first solo trip. The Classic Loop adds the Sigiriya rock fortress, the scenic Ella train and nights inside Galle Fort. The Explorer adds a Yala National Park safari for leopards and elephants, plus slow beach days to finish.
Best time for a Solo Sri Lanka trip
The sweet spot is December to March, when the west and south coasts and the hill country enjoy dry, sunny weather. This is peak season, so book early for the best solo rates and the safer, central stays that fill up fast. Busier months also suit solo travellers, since trains, viewpoints and walking tours have more fellow travellers around for company. The hills get genuinely cool in Nuwara Eliya and Ella, so carry a light jacket even in season. You can travel outside these months and save money, just expect some rain.
