Vietnam Land-only packages are built for Indian travellers who prefer to book their own flights and let us handle everything once you land. You book your air ticket to Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City on your own miles, a credit card offer or a fare sale, and we take over from the arrival gate. Hotels, private transfers, the Halong Bay cruise, the day in Hoi An and the local guides are all arranged, so there are no flights bundled into the price.
This works especially well for Vietnam because flying time from India is only 5 to 7 hours, and fares from metros swing a lot through the year. Many travellers already hold airline points or want to fly a specific carrier, so paying only for the ground portion keeps the package lean and lets you control the most variable cost yourself. From ₹28,999 per person, you get a sorted on-ground holiday across limestone karsts, ancient lantern-lit towns and some of the best street food in Asia.
What makes our Vietnam Land-only packages special
Because flights are out of the equation, our planning focuses entirely on what happens between your arrival and departure. We map the route so you are not backtracking across the country, since Vietnam is long and thin and distances between Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south are significant.
- Airport pickup on arrival: a representative meets you at the terminal and your transfer is ready, so a self-booked flight landing at an odd hour is no problem.
- Halong Bay done right: we include a cruise among the karsts with onboard meals, the highlight most Indian travellers come for.
- Vegetarian and Jain food sorted: we brief hotels and guides in advance and point you to dependable Indian and pure-veg kitchens in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
- E-visa guidance: Vietnam runs a single-entry e-visa at about $25, and we walk you through the online application and photo requirements.
- Flexible arrival cities: fly into the north and out of the south, or vice versa, and we shape the land arrangements to match your own ticket.
Sample Land-only Vietnam itineraries
These are indicative ground-only prices per person on twin sharing. They cover hotels, transfers, the Halong cruise and listed sightseeing, but not your air ticket or the e-visa fee.
| Package | Nights | From (per person) | Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hanoi & Halong Bay Short Break | 4 | ₹28,999 | Best-value 3-star, shared transfers |
| Classic North & Central: Hanoi, Halong, Hoi An, Da Nang | 6 | ₹46,999 | 4-star, mix of private and group sightseeing |
| Grand Vietnam: Hanoi to Sapa to Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City | 9 | ₹84,999 | 5-star and resorts, private transfers throughout |
Add Sapa for the rice terraces, or stretch the central stay in Da Nang if you want beach time. Since you control the flights, you can also tack on extra nights at either end without us reworking an air ticket.
Best time for a Land-only Vietnam trip
The most comfortable windows are February to April and August to October. Spring brings mild, dry weather across most of the country, which suits the long north-to-central road and cruise days. The August to October window is good for the central coast and the Sapa highlands, though do keep an eye on occasional rain in the centre.
The Land-only format gives you a real advantage on timing. Because you are not locked into a group flight, you can move your dates by a few days to land cheaper airfares or dodge a public holiday rush at Halong Bay. Tet, the Vietnamese New Year that usually falls in late January or February, sees many local businesses close and prices climb, so it is worth planning around if you can.
