Sri Lanka Land-only packages let you book the full ground experience, your hotels, transfers, sightseeing and English-speaking driver-guide, while keeping your flights separate. This suits Indian travellers flying from South India in just 1-2 hours, often on redemption miles or a fare already locked in. You land at Bandaranaike International, our team meets you, and the island is yours.
Within one compact country you get hill country tea estates, ancient Buddhist kingdoms and golden southern beaches, all reachable by road. Prices start from ₹18,999 per person for the land arrangements. Because you handle the air ticket, you keep control over airline, baggage and timing.
What makes our Sri Lanka Land-only packages special
Land-only is the most flexible way to see Sri Lanka. You are not tied to a fixed group flight, so families flying from Chennai and friends flying from Kochi can meet on the same itinerary in Colombo.
- Private car with driver-guide: An air-conditioned vehicle for your group across the whole route, no shared coach unless you pick a budget tier.
- Airport meet and greet: We track your inbound flight and have a representative waiting, whatever time you land.
- Curated stays: From 3-star value hotels to colonial boutique properties and tea-country bungalows in Nuwara Eliya.
- Sensible routing: Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala and Galle linked in a logical loop that cuts backtracking.
- Indian-traveller support: Vegetarian and Jain meal guidance, plus help with the ETA visa and LKR currency.
Sample Land-only Sri Lanka itineraries
The grid below shows ground-only pricing. Add your own flights for a complete trip. Higher tiers move you into better hotels, more private inclusions and longer stays.
| Package | Nights | From (per person) | Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential Sri Lanka | 4 | ₹18,999 | 3-star value, hill country and Kandy |
| Classic Island Loop | 6 | ₹32,999 | 4-star, Sigiriya, Ella, Yala and Galle |
| Signature Sri Lanka | 8 | ₹54,999 | 5-star resorts and tea-estate bungalows, all private transfers |
All figures are land-only and per person on twin sharing. Yala safari jeep, monument entry fees and add-ons are quoted on request.
Best time for a Land-only Sri Lanka trip
The sweet spot for a land tour is December to March, when the west and south coasts and the cultural triangle stay dry and the hill country is crisp and clear. This is peak season, so booking early protects both rates and the better rooms.
Because Sri Lanka has two monsoons hitting opposite coasts, a land itinerary can be tuned to the weather in a way a fixed package cannot. If you travel May to September, we lean the route towards the east coast and the cultural sites.
