See Japan without overspending

Our Japan Budget packages are built for Indian travellers who want Tokyo's neon energy, Kyoto's quiet temples and a bullet train ride in between, without the price tag people assume Japan demands. From ₹89,999 per person, these trips put your money into the experiences, the rail journeys and day trips to Mt Fuji and Nara, rather than marble lobbies you will barely use.

Japan is famously well organised, and that works in a budget traveller's favour. Trains run on time, convenience stores sell genuinely good ₹300 meals, and 3-star business hotels are clean, central and comfortable. We shape each itinerary around shared transfers, smart hotel placement near stations, and a pace that covers Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka without unnecessary internal flights.

What makes our Japan Budget packages special

Value here does not mean cutting the experiences you came for. It means being clever about the parts you will not remember anyway. Here is how we keep the cost down while keeping the trip rich.

  • Centrally located 3-star hotels: Business hotels near stations like Shinjuku, Kyoto Station and Namba, so you walk less and skip costly taxis.
  • Rail-first travel: Routes built around the Shinkansen and local trains rather than private cars, which is also the fastest way to move around Japan.
  • Shared group transfers: Airport pickups and sightseeing on shared coaches, which trims the per-person cost significantly.
  • Free time built in: Open half-day blocks so you can eat at a ₹400 ramen counter and explore neighbourhoods at your own pace.
  • Indian traveller support: Guidance on vegetarian and Jain food spots, SIM and pocket Wi-Fi options, and affordable Indian meals when you want them.

Sample Budget Japan itineraries

Three ready routes, each priced for value and scalable depending on the season you pick. The shorter trip suits a first taste of Japan, while the longer ones add Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima.

Best time for a Budget Japan trip

Japan has two headline seasons. March to April brings the cherry blossoms, the most beautiful time but also the busiest and priciest, so hotels book out months ahead. October to November delivers stunning autumn colours with easier pricing and pleasant walking weather.

To stretch the budget, aim for the quieter weeks just before or after these peaks, or consider early summer and winter when the same 3-star hotels cost noticeably less. Flying time from India is roughly 8 to 10 hours, so booking flights early also lowers your total trip cost.

What's included

Each Budget package is designed to be transparent, with the essentials covered and the splurges left to you.

  • Accommodation in selected 3-star and business hotels on twin sharing
  • Daily breakfast at the hotel
  • Intercity travel by bullet train and local trains as per the itinerary
  • Shared airport transfers and group sightseeing as listed
  • Sightseeing and entry to the attractions named in the plan
  • Assistance with your single-entry Japan visa (fee of around ₹500, or roughly ₹1,300 in total with the VFS service charge, paid separately)

International flights, lunches and dinners, optional experiences, travel insurance and personal spends are not included, which keeps the headline price low and lets you control your daily budget in Japanese Yen.

Japan Budget FAQs

Yes, more than most expect. The big costs are flights and hotels, both of which we keep lean with early booking and 3-star stays. Daily food can run as low as ₹800 to ₹1,200 if you eat at convenience stores, ramen shops and standing eateries, which is how locals eat too.
Indian passport holders need a single-entry Japan tourist visa, which costs around ₹500, or roughly ₹1,300 in total with the VFS service charge. We assist with the documentation and application process, though the final decision always rests with the consulate.
Trains do the heavy lifting. The Shinkansen connects cities quickly, and within each city the metro is cheap and easy. Our itineraries are rail-based on purpose, so you avoid pricey internal flights and private cars.
It takes a little planning, but yes. We share lists of vegetarian-friendly restaurants, Indian eateries in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, and tips on reading labels. Carrying some ready-to-eat staples is a smart backup for stricter diets.
The weeks just outside the cherry blossom and autumn peaks offer the best value, as do early summer and winter. Cherry blossom season in March to April is the most expensive, so flexible dates can save you a fair amount.
Japanese business hotels punch well above their star rating. Rooms are compact but spotless, well located near stations, and come with reliable Wi-Fi and clean bathrooms. They are ideal when you plan to spend most of the day out exploring.
Late March to early April, book 4-6 months ahead.
Usually yes if your itinerary covers Tokyo + Kyoto + Osaka.
