Create My Package

Japan Solo packages are built for the independent Indian traveller who wants to wander Tokyo's neon-lit lanes one evening and sit quietly in a Kyoto temple garden the next morning. Japan is one of the easiest countries on earth to travel solo. Trains run to the minute, signage carries English, crime is rare, and you can eat alone at a ramen counter without anyone batting an eye.

Our solo trips combine the big-ticket experiences with smart, self-paced freedom: pre-booked hotels, rail logistics sorted, and a local helpline, while your days stay open to your own curiosity. Prices start from ₹89,999 per person. Solo travellers can take a private room with a single supplement, or join a small-group departure to trim costs and meet other Indians on the road.

What makes our Japan Solo packages special

Travelling alone in Japan should feel liberating, not logistically heavy. Here is how we shape the experience for solo guests.

  • Solo-safe by design. Hotels sit in well-lit, central neighbourhoods near stations, so you are never walking far late at night. Women can request female-only floors where the hotel offers them.
  • Rail made simple. We advise whether a Japan Rail Pass suits your route and pre-load platform and transfer notes, so the Shinkansen feels effortless from day one.
  • Social or self-paced, your call. Pick a small-group departure to share meals and sightseeing, or go fully independent and set your own pace.
  • India desk support. A WhatsApp helpline in IST hours means a real person answers your questions on trains, bookings or sudden changes.
  • Eating alone, sorted. We flag counter-seating restaurants, solo-friendly izakayas and food halls, so dinner is a highlight, not an awkward table for one.

Best time for a Solo Japan trip

The two standout windows are March to April for cherry blossoms and October to November for autumn colours. Both bring mild walking weather, which matters when you are out on foot and by train all day. Blossom season is breathtaking but busy and pricier, so book early. Autumn is arguably the sweet spot for solo travel, with thinner crowds and red-gold maples across Kyoto.

Summer is hot and humid with a rainy spell, though festivals are in full swing. Winter is cold but rewarding for snow scenes and fewer tourists, and it is the cheapest time to fly. Flights from India run roughly 8 to 10 hours, and a single-entry tourist visa costs around ₹500, or roughly ₹1,300 in total with the VFS service charge, which we help you apply for. The currency is the Japanese Yen, and a mix of card and cash works best.

Japan Solo FAQs

Yes, Japan is among the safest countries for solo travel, including for women. Streets stay busy late into the evening, public transport is secure, and lost belongings are often returned. We still place you in central hotels near stations and share local helpline contacts.
That depends on the style you pick. A small-group departure means shared sightseeing and meals with fellow Indian travellers, plus free time for yourself. Prefer total independence and you set your own pace, with our India desk a message away whenever you need it.
No. Major stations, signs and menus carry English, and a translation app handles the rest. Staff and locals are helpful. Our itinerary notes include key phrases, platform details and transfer tips so you navigate confidently from arrival.
Our headline prices assume shared logic, so a private single room carries a supplement that varies by city, hotel tier and season. We quote the exact single-occupancy amount upfront, and joining a group departure helps reduce the gap.
It depends on your route. Covering the Golden Route across Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with long Shinkansen legs, a pass can save money. For a Tokyo and Kyoto-only trip, point-to-point tickets may be cheaper. We run the numbers for your itinerary first.
For cherry blossom season in March to April, book three to four months ahead, as hotels and flights fill fast. For autumn and other seasons, six to eight weeks is usually comfortable. Booking early also secures better single-room rates.
Late March to early April, book 4-6 months ahead.
Usually yes if your itinerary covers Tokyo + Kyoto + Osaka.
